Telling your parents..?

Telling your parents your a furry. Well that's a big step! Honestly you don't have to. I never have. Nor will I ever. Some parents are cool and laid back and will totally agree with the idea and live style.Some are like mine who if you tell them will submit you to a mental hospital. I drop small hints here and there like " OH I like these paw gloves" or" Oh what would you do if started wearing ears and a tail" It's honestly a big step if your going to tell them, but if you do, be ready to tell them about the life style because most either do not know what a furry is, or do not know what a furry REALLY is.

Yep yep. Its true. If you don't get what I mean let me explain.

Ever watch cartoons there they have talking animals? Like Looney Tunes? Teenage mutant ninja turtles?  My Little Pony. Well. Those are animals yes. But have you ever noticed that the characters have "human" characteristics :)? Well now you will. All of these guys are actually furries. Check out the list below. You might be surprised!

Today...

 Alright every one, so today this is my post. LOL I just wanna say that I'm not putting anything " informational, or educational"  up. So :) I got asked some question  here is part o the following message I received from a friend,

1. You told me why u are a wolf. Do you believe there is some paranormal or supernatural explanation for it?
2. I know i don't see alot of furries in costume but i was wondering are they always furries or is it more of a personal type of thing?
3. We established that you are a wolf. Have u ever seen one in real life? If so, did you feel any kind of connection to it?
4. Hope this is not too forward but what kinds of things sexually does a wolf do that a human doesn't? I know furries is beyond sexual... but just curious about that."

Alright, so lets begin,

1.   Well, I told you, but not every one else, so let me establish that first

•    My senses are canine, but i am not simply a dog, I'm  more shy, wild, free, harder to find, I'm a hunter, and patient ,i need a pack to survive
•   How are my senses canine,I've always been like a dog. Always. even my mother noticed it. i chase anything that moves, especially birds, squirrels and cars, i growl. and have a keen sense of smell. better then most people.

• But no,I do not believe that there is a " paranormal or supernatural" explanation behind it, and its not cause I don't believe in either of those, because I do. I just believe it's just based off the mentality of a person

2. WELL, I didn't understand what you meant, So I went back and asked.
"Are there people who only do it to dress up and it is a part-time hidden in the closet kind of thing. u know what I mean?"

• I hope I can answer this  this correctly, but most likely  there are people who are fakers, or who just like to dress up for the hell of it. Most likely  they aren't always furries. But a good portion of the time people who dress up as animals for the hell of it are furries.

• I have never seen a wolf, other then in the zoo those animals are so miserable that its impossible to even have them look your way. I do feel connections with other canines though

• honestly there isn't much a difference accept howling, referring to body parts differently, " clawing" instead of scratching and just acting more like an animal

Humans and Furries

Some one asked me today when I was handing  my blog ULR out *poke poke* (you should do that to) How a furry and a human relationship works. Well honestly, I think it can work like any other relationship, BUT ( yes there is always a but)  that human should know and understand from the beginning,  that you are a furry and what a furry is if they don't know. You also want to make sure the person is comfortable if you refer to your hands as paws or talk in was or ever ( if you yiff I personally don't)  that if you make animal sounds or yiff that the human will feel comfortable with it as well. The human has to be willing to  accept your ways and understand that its a way of life that you may not be willing to give up easy.

    In my past experiences with human and furry relationships, it can become a 24/7 pet play sorta situation, which is pretty hot if you think about it.  But if your not careful you an end up getting a person who will try and either change you, or turn the relationship into " I'm the human, your the animal. Now do  blah blah blah"  I honestly am all for a human and furry relationship and well ass human and human, and furry and furry. And  so on and so forth. We all have are rights. now lets use them :)

Standing Up for the Furries

Wow,  Black Friday.  I went out today duh!  ha ha. Well, I decided to wear a settle part of my outfit out. My collar. I got quite a few looks like I was a crazy looney toon ( not cool). Any way, I had some one come up to me  and go " hey there puppy, come here you little bitch" blah blah blah. Well, any way I turned and I snapped at him " I'm a  fucking furry, and I'm not a fucking dog and I'm a damn wolf, and I will bite your damn hand off if you touch me one more damn time" Honestly, yes. I know I might have over reacted a bit. But seriously. How would you react if that happened ? Probably not any better then me :) Any way, He told me that us furries ( or are loved ones) are crazy psycho animal fuckers. Man did  he get talked down, he  got the speech of his life time, and by the end he felt like he was 2 inches tall and needed his mommy. Furries,  we need to stand up to morons like him more often. We need to get the word out there that we  are not nasty animal fuckers, but just normal animals in this crazy world! We are who we are, and nothing will ever change that . So put up your paws if you agree with me! Let out a howl ( or what ever sound you make)  to have change in this world. Cause I'm not sure about you. But I'm sick of idiots who mistreat us cause we are different. Whether you are gay, bi , straight, or lesbian. We are all part of a pack that need to stick together. Even if your not a " pack" animal your still part of us, no matter how different, no matter what race, species, gender, or sexual preference. Lets bond up and take our pride from these bitches and claim it!

What is a Scalies?

Scalies are anthropomorphic creatures of the, reptile( including snakes, lizards, dragons ,ect)  amphibian( frogs, newts,ect) and even Sharks variety. As furries are nicknamed such for their humanoid shape covered in fur, scalies tend to have a coating of scales much like the animals they represent. However, some scalies, including draconids and sharks, have very light or no true scales, but flesh more like a human's.

      

Okay, Lets Get This Straight

Well people :)
I need to get this straight, because I have had so many people assume so many things about furries that are so not true.  I really need to get the point a crossed  Right NOW. While talking on the phone with a friend the other night, I said " Richard, what do you think about furries? " Of course he really didn't know what it was so he asked the people he was with, but their idea of a furry was way off. The first idea they came up with was furries all dress in a costume and have sexual intercourse this way. That is WAY off. As I mentioned in my first blog, only 10% of furries actually dress up in costumes. And those costumes are pretty much just like a mascot costume, BUT can cost THOUSANDS of dollars so just remember if you want toe " pet" a fursuiter  ask first, make sure your hands are clean, and be very gentle.  Not all furries dress up in complete out fits as well, some only wear paws/ foot paws,  a fursuiters head, tail, ears,  it varies on the type of person.  BUT there are some furries who do take action in sexual activities while wearing an "outfit" but these out fits are specially designed for those activities only.
Another fact is that being a furry does not mean that they have had sex with animals.And the stupid idiots who think that it is, WELL. THEY ARE STUPID.
1% of the furry fandom have been sexually involved with animals. The other 99.9% have either thought about it or not even came to thought.

How do you define, and What is a Furry, Furvert, and a Fursuiter

Furries are people who enjoy roleplaying as anthropomorphic animals, or acting like animals. Many believe that the furry fandom is a form of escapism for people who cannot people who are uncomfortable with day-to-day communications as humans. Others believe that the furry fandom is an underground sex cult for closeted zoophiliacs. Both sides are correct. But for the most part Furries are just like any other cosplayer.
Furries can be grouped into one or more of several categories: Roleplayers, artists, consumers, erotic, and fursuiters.

Fursuiters are furries who enjoy dressing up in costumes similar to those of mascots. Fursuiters make up only a small percentage of the fandom- no more than 10%. However, they generally consider themselves the spokesmen of the fandom, and are therefore what most people associate with furries. In the spectrum of furriness, erotic fursuiters are generally considered the extreme.

Furverts( aka Erotic Furries)   are erotic furries  who enjoy and/or get off to pornographic furry art. Though not all furries prefer the erotic end of the fandom, there is usually some underlying tone of eroticism within all furries.
